Q: Is there an age limit?
A: Yes. Unfortunatly for the youngsters, you have to be 18 years or older to participate.
Q: Will there be Internet?!
A: Yes, in the conference area, but it will only be 3G/4G and some places no internet at all. Divided between 100 participants, you can guess how fast the WIFI is going to be. So take your precautions, and come prepared with the assets and software you need!
Q: Can I share a cabin with my BFF?
A: Sure, just leave a comment when you buy your ticket with the name of the person you want to share a cabin with, or send us an email about it before September 1 - email@example.com
Q: Can I get a single cabin?
A: Yes, but it will cost 4000 NOK. We have a few available when ordering your ticket.
Q: Are meals included in the jam ticket?
A: Yes! You will get a fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will also be coffee and tea available during the jam. Drinks are not included with dinner.
Q: Who will pay for drinks I order by the table during dinner?
A: You will! To avoid queuing we recommend that you connect your credit card to your cruise card in the reception, and pay for all the drinks and other extras when you leave the boat on October 21.
Q: I have allergies or other preferences regarding food. Halp?
A: No worries! We’ll take care of it. Please let us know of any allergies or preferences when you order your ticket for the jam. Note that perhaps not all types of allergies or preferences can be accommodated, but we'll try our very best.
Q: Can I bring my own snacks?
A: Yes. Note that most cabins don't have fridges, though.
Q: Will you have any equipment available for the game jam?
A: You have to bring all the equipment you need for the jam yourself. We will provide coffee and fun stuff!
Q: What kind of charger should I bring?
A: Norwegian standards are 220-240 volt type C Europlug or type E/F Schuko. Get a converter if you don’t have one.
Q: Can I bring my dog/cat/bird/snake/fish/other pet?
Q: Will there be a heated pool and jacuzzi on deck?
A: Yes! So if you want to brainstorm game ideas in the water you should bring your bathing suit.
Q: Will I see northern lights?
A: We can’t guarantee it, but we sure hope so!
Q: What if I become seasick?
A: It shouldn't be a problem on this trip, but if you're worried you should bring some pills to prevent seasickness. Ginger should also be very good to prevent sea sickness or to calm your stomach.
Q: What else should I bring?
A: To make a quick summary; bring your preferred jamming device, the software and assets you need, a USB-pen for file transfers and an extension chord. A water bottle might be smart too.
